“Some Key Truths About Today’s Transgender Wave.” It is critically important that church leaders not be blindsided when (not if) gender confusion strikes in the church and homes under their care. I will be exploring central facts about the transgender explosion, particularly among young people, with suggestions for further information and action. My approach is direct but compassionate.
The Hope of Ultimate Meaning: Knowing God the Creator and Redeemer
An Online Symposium of TruthXChange
October 16-21, 2023
To be recorded and widely available following these dates.
Director: Rev. Dr. Peter R. Jones
My topic will be “Sexuality.” My intention is to overview God’s perfect plan for sexuality, how we have twisted this, and the particular shape this abandonment of God’s design for sexual identity and practice is taking—to breathtaking degrees—in modern Western culture in general and the United States in particular.
Here is TruthXChange’s description of this online symposium: “No religion can offer the hope that Christians have, as we reflect on a God who meets all our needs as both Creator and Redeemer. Paul states this in a convincing way when he writes to the Corinthians: "For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ" (2 Cor 4:6). Here we see in one beautiful verse the joining of the lights of both creation and redemption. Christians live as beacons to this hope in a dark and broken world that is in desperate need of the full-orbed answers offered only by the Gospel. In "The Hope of Ultimate Meaning: Knowing God the Creator and Redeemer" teaching series, we will pursue knowledge of the one, true God, who gives us ultimate hope through His matchless work of both Creation and Redemption.”
Other speakers and topics who will be presenting: Peter Jones (Only Two Religions), Carl Trueman (TBA), Joshua Gielow (Family and the Home), Calvin Beisner (Creation Stewarship), Jeffrey Ventrella (Politics and Law), Thaddeus Williams (Evangelism and Social Justice), Steven Chavura (Vocation, Calling, and Purpose).
